Contract Role - Full Time Term - 18 Months Commencement - approximately Oct 2010 Salary $50k - $60k plus 9% superannuation depending on experience The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre (ASHOF) is proud to launch its Indigenous Heritage Project - a research based project aimed at showcasing the contribution Indigenous stockmen and women played in shaping the Australian pastoral industry. The ASHOF is seeking a full time research professional to research and catalogue these stories. In this role, reporting directly to the CEO, you will spend much of your time in the field. As the responsible researcher you will also be seeking the support of a PHD student specialising in Indigenous studies who will support the data management and desk top research. In this hands-on role your networking and communication skills will be essential to ensure as much information is collected in the allocated time. The role would suit someone with strong Indigenous connections and sense of community. The successful candidate must hold tertiary qualifications relating to the fields of research, media studies, communications or heritage based studies.
