Established in December 2005, Aussie Spic N Span Services is the only indigenous owned and operated cleaning, car detailing and yard maintenance business in Cairns and Mount Isa QLD. The partnership is uniquely positioned to target cleaning and car detailing contracts with indigenous organisations through a wide range of contacts in influential positions.
Since commencing the business eight months ago, the partners have purchased necessary equipment and operating licenses, won over 26 regular office cleaning contracts, completed more than 130 car details and washes, and many other one-off cleaning and yard jobs.
Planning for the next 18 months will see the company increase revenue from current levels of around $13,000 per month to $38,000 per month, largely through a 125% increase in regular office cleaning contracts, together with a steady increase in car detailing and yard maintenance work. Some additional work is planned around developing and implementing a formal marketing strategy, improving financial record keeping, and creating standardised contract agreements.
