Education Transformations has worked with remote Indigenous families and communities for over ten years to develop successful schooling and training programmes. Initiatives that have flowed from this work include Marrara College's (Darwin - 2000) Family Group Home programme, Woolaning College (a regional residential college near Litchfield National Park - 2002), Transforming Skills (a not-for-profit condtruction training company - 2002), Gawa Christian School (Elcho Island - the first homeland learning centre converted to an independent school - 2004), Tiwi College (a regional residential college on Melville island owned and operated by the Tiwi Education Board - 2008), Mapuru School (started in July 2010 in East Arnhrem Land).
Current projects include resarch and development into an independent community managed school at the Baniyala community in East Arnhem Land, further community managed schools in the Top End, Warlpiri College in partnership with the Warlpiri Education Board,Another small school south west of Alice Springs and a range of consultancies for programme improvement.
