Each bark sold through the ISX website is fitted with a custom made aluminium hanging system. This provides an easy hanging point and is a museum practice conservation technique.

About the Artist
"When I was 7 years old, I would sit on my father's (Djatparrnga) lap, and watched him paint. Sometimes he would ask me to go with him to get bark, and help him put it on the fire to make it straight. My stepfather, I would watched him do everything to do with the art. When I become old enough, about 18 years old, I went to my promised husband Wanarrapi. He's an artist also. I sit close to him to watch the carving and painting, sometimes help him with his work. So I've decided to start my own work for myself doing carvings and painting on bark. My homeland Yångunbi and Rorruwuy, it's a latju wånga (good place) to do art. In 1991 I moved to Galiwin'ku. I worked as an Aboriginal health worker for 5 years but still always do my own art. This year, 1998, I'm still working in the Miwatj (eastern Arnhem Land) as a supervisor, teaching the new trainee students at Miwatj Health in Nhulunbuy, but still doing my own art. I did a lino-cut for the first time, so this is a new art for me. I will always do my art."
