Each bark sold through the ISX website is fitted with a custom made aluminium hanging system. This provides an easy hanging point and is a museum practice conservation technique.

About the Artist

Father is Rayman. Mother was Bayngul a senior daughter and artistic assistant of Mawalan 1 Marika. Djalinda was a witness to this process from the 1960s.

From the 1980s assisted her mother(s) (Dhuwarrwarr, Laklak and Banduk) and painted in her own right in particular gifts for friends starting in the 1990s.

She is a qualified teacher and has worked for twenty years in this role in her community, particularly at Yirrkala and Gutjangan on Bremer Island.

She is a ceremonial participant and knowledgeable in the Rirrtajingu as well as Gumatj law.

She married from Elliot and had a son. Remarried after his death again from Elliot and had two more children. She has brought these children up in northeast Arnhem Land by herself since the death of her second husband.
